Atta Chakuli

Here is another Oriyan Delight. It is typically prepared as an offering to The Goddess Durga. Also it is a special breakfast.

I made this as a snack for the kids and the older one loved it. Check out this fennel flavored sweet dosa for Day 3 Week 3 of BM #29.

Recipe Source - here
Ingredients -

Wheat Flour 3/4 cup
Sooji 1/4 cup
Sugar 4-5 Tbsp
Coconut, shredded, frozen or fresh or dry 2 Tbsp
Banana, ripe and mashed 1 medium
Sounf / Fennel seeds, crushed 1 tsp
Salt as needed

Method Of Preparation -

Mix the flour, sooji, sugar, shredded coconut, crushed fennel and salt.

Blend the banana with enough water and pour it into the flour mixture. Mix the flour well adding water if needed to make a thick batter.

Heat a griddle / tawa and pour a ladle full of batter and quickly spread in a circular motion like a dosa. Spray some oil all around the dosa.

Cover and cook for a couple minutes until the under side is cooked. Flip and cook the other side as well.
Remove and continue for the remaining batter.

Serve warm with any accompaniment of your choice.
