Week 1 Day 1 of BM #62 -
The first week of this edition will be all about kid friendly chocolate dishes. There are multiple versions of these sandwiches all over the internet. But these are the ones I found that our kids loved the best. A lot of versions use Nutella as well. So go with what the kids like and make them happy!!
Ingredients -
Bread Slices 4
Chocolate Chips 2 Tbsp
Butter as needed
Chopped Nuts (I used Almonds and Cashews)
Method Of Preparation -
In a microwave safe bowl, add 1/2 teaspoon of butter and the chocolate chips. Nuke them in increments of 30 seconds whisking them in between until all the chocolate melts.
Spread butter on one side of the bread slices and set aside.
Place 2 slices of bread, buttered side down on a heated grill pan.
Spread the molten chocolate on the bread slices and sprinkle the chopped nuts.
Spread the chocolate sauce on the remaining slices and place on top of the chopped nuts.
Grill them until they are golden brown on both sides.
Slice them and enjoy!

I tried a couple of varieties of chocolate French toast for this theme, but didn't use it. One version had nutella with sliced bananas inside. This just reminded me of that!

Most of the time my girls are with nutella it's their boost for anything and everything. Must make these for the kiddos dabba. I am sure I will need the entire loaf for her but the box will come back empty.
