Looking for a low-fat 'fast food'? Look no further..Dahi bread falls in that category and it surely is very filling. One of those days when I used to pester Amma (my mom) to suggest some quick breakfast/snack recipe, Amma asked me to try this out. I was very apprehensive if this would click at home. But my fears were thrown out of the window!! It was an instant hit and the masala which goes into it can be altered to suit individual taste. Very easy to prepare and can be churned out in a jiffy. With just bread and curd at home, make wonders at the table!!

Ingredients -

Bread Slices 8
Curd / Yogurt 2 cups
Green Chilli-Kothimeer paste (Green Chilli-Coriander leaves paste) 1 tsp or as per taste
Salt as per taste
Ginger grated 1/2 tsp (Optional)
Date-Tamarind chutney (home made or store bought) for garnish

Method Of Preparation -

Toast the bread slices either in a toaster or on a hot tava(griddle). Applying butter to the bread slices is totally optional.

In a mixing bowl, beat the curds, add green chilli-kothimeer paste, salt and ginger. Mix well.

Just before serving cut the toasted bread into triangles or whatever shape required and pour the masala curd on the bread so that it is properly soaked in and drizzle a little date-tamarind chutney. It surely would taste heavenly.

Dahi Bread aptly fits into Anyone Can Cook Series - 2 hosted by Umm Mymoonah.
