Here is a delightful cookie for the kids. This is an easy to make and easy to please kind of a cookie which would be liked by adults as well.
My kids had a huge smile on their faces as soon as they smelt the cookies in the oven.
Check it out for Day 7 Week 1 of BM #27.
Ingredients - Banana, mashed 1
Wheat Flour 1 cup
Baking Powder 1/2 tsp
Salt a pinch
Butter (softened) 2 tsp (I used Ghee/clarified butter)
Sugar 2 Tbsp
Cashew 1 Tbsp
Milk 2 Tbsp or as needed to knead the dough
Almonds for topping
Method Of Preparation -
Sieve the flour, baking powder and salt. Add in the sugar and cashew powder.
Rub in the butter/ghee into the flour.
Add the mashed banana and knead the flour into a stiff dough adding as much milk as needed.
Cover the dough and set aside for 30 min.
Preheat the oven to 375 F. Line the baking tray with a parchment paper.
Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll them into thick discs.
Press an almond in each of the cookies and bake for 18-20 min.
Remove them onto a cooling rack and let the kids feast on them !!
