In my last trip to the library, I got a bunch of cookbooks to see if there is anything which catches my fancy. But as it always happens, I never browse through the books as leisurely as I would like to but nonetheless, I picked out a few of them which I thought would be fast, easy and healthy.
Here is one from Madhur Jaffrey's 'From Curries to Kebabs', which was a healthy addition to my lunch. Check it out for CCC#2, Nov week 2 edition.

The sweetness of the apple should pair really well with spicy dishes! Lovely recipe..
I have tried this recipe before and for some reason never warmed up to it. I think I prefer the traditional onion, carrot or cucumber ones.
But now that my daughter enjoys all kinds of raitas - I could try this one with her
Wow... never tried raita with apple, will try for sure
very very delicious apple raita :)
One more raita to try and taste, very tempting.
There can never be too many Raitha's...What kind of apples did you use?
I am a huge huge fan of raitas but somehow this never came to my mind! I have all the ingredients. Will try it today :)

Interesting! Did you use green apples or the red ones?
@Usha, @Suja I used the Granny Smith Apples but the original recipe mentioned the red apples. I have tried both the varieties and I personally liked the tanginess of the green apples.
