Love Pizza and don't want to eat out or make it at home?? Here is something interesting which will satisfy your craving for a pizza and yet healthy. Very simple to make and can be ready in a jiffy. The toppings can be customized as per individual preference. Pineapple, Black Olives and Tomato , apart from any other toppings on a Pizza can be used. This can be a great breakfast too..
Ingredients -
Bread slices 4
Onion 1 medium (Vertically sliced)
Green Bell Pepper / Capsicum 2 Tbsp finely sliced
Red Bell pepper 1 Tbsp Finely sliced (Optional)
Cheese 4 Tbsp
Butter 1 tsp
Pizza/Pasta Sauce 2 Tbsp (or Tomato Ketchup)
Crushed Red pepper 1 tsp (Optional)
Method of preparation -
On a bread slice, Apply a thin layer of butter.
Apply the pizza/pasta sauce generously. If this sauce is not available, Plain tomato ketchup would work fine too.
Arrange the toppings as per preference and sprinkle cheese (about 1 Tbsp or more).
Sprinkle Crushed Red pepper or any other spice of individual choice.
Repeat for all the slices.
Place the slices on a foiled cookie sheet into a pre-heated oven at 400F
Bake them for about 7-10 min (depending on the oven). I used a Toaster oven and it took me about 8 min.
When the cheese topping starts to brown, then it is ready to be served.
Serves 2 Adults
Preparation Time 15 min
